1 I played soccer yesterday. （私は昨日，サッカーをしました。）
▶規則動詞の過去形 動詞の原形の語尾にedまたはdをつける。
2 I went to the library yesterday. （私は昨日，図書館へ行きました。）
▶不規則動詞の過去形 go → went，make → madeなど不規則に変化する。
3 I didn’t play soccer yesterday. （私は昨日はサッカーをしませんでした。）
▶一般動詞の過去の否定文 〈did not〔didn’t〕＋動詞の原形 〉で表す。
4 Did you study English yesterday? （あなたは昨日，英語を勉強しましたか。
Yes, I did. / No, I didn’t. はい，しました。/ いいえ，しませんでした。）
▶一般動詞の過去の疑問文 〈Did＋主語＋動詞の原形～?〉で表し，didを使って答える。
